The tournament room was huge. Very spacious and loads of seating. Our tournament took place with the Men’s Seminole Tribe Tour. They played 10 ball and their format was different, nevertheless, it was great to get a chance to watch some of the men play. We also had the TAR at this event. They aired matches online. I got a chance to commentate with Helena and Myhanh during Sarah and Nicole’s first match. It was a lot of fun! Of course, I probably said something stupid here and there but thats kinda normal. :) I was seeded for this tournament and drew Stacie Bourbeau my first match. She is a great player from the New England area. It was tough but I got through. Next I play Vivian. I never played her before and was excited about the match. I knew it would not only be tough since she is a fierce competitor but because she was sponsored by the Seminole and that they were all supporting her to win. During my match, she gave me chances to keep the match close. However, I made a couple of mistakes... missing a crucial 6 ball and a 9 ball that cost me two very important games. Eventhough I was down, I tried my best to keep in the game. But a bad safety on my part, cost me the final game for her to win. :( My next day match was with Maureen Seto and I must say she played so well. She kept me in my seat running out and playing good safeties. I had a couple of chances but either had a bad roll or just couldn’t do anything with it. It was frustrating on my part. I wasn’t upset after the match but I was disappointed. Now I need to reflect and go back to the drawing board.
In the meantime, I’m going to have fun with my friends since I won’t be seeing them for at least 3 months! I’m going to miss you guys!!!! :(

We left the Hard Rock hotel at around 9:30 am got into a nice ass limo to the safari. It was about an hour long ride. I was busy playing Xiao Ting’s DTS gameboy thing so the ride went by so fast. Once we got there we went straight to lunch. We were all so hungry. Food was alright and we got to try gator bites... which taste just like chicken. After lunch, we saw an alligator show and took some pictures with an alligator. It was hilarious how scared some of the girls were. Monica and Helena were the worse! :) We went on the safari trip right after the picture taking. We were riding on one of those trucks that can drive through water. It was cool but a bumpy ride. Got to see a lot of cool animals and learn about the Seminole Tribe. We also got to ride an airboat through the swamps. Got up and personal with a couple of alligators and wild boars. Nice. After a long day at the Safari, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the boxing event at the Hard Rock Live. It was exciting since most of us girls never been to a live boxing match. I left my phone in the bathroom by accident and thought I have lost it for good but luckily one of the maintenance personnel found it and returned it to me. :) I had a lot of fun today and I think most of the girls did too. Check out more pictures of today in my albums. :)

Yup, I missed it. I was just 10 minutes late checking in. I was sooo mad. Now I have to pay $50 to change my ticket and wait for another 4 hours for the next flight. Arghhh... worse part is I can’t even check in until 11 am which is about an hour and a half from now. Good thing a friend of mine came by and picked me up for a quick lunch. I almost was late coming back to the airport...I think I would have strangled myself if I missed 2 flights in one day! Once I was on the plane I passed out. Next thing I know, the plane is landing. Met up with Joanne, Myhanh and Supadra. Hopped in a cab and was off to the Hard Rock Hotel. This is one of my favorite spots. There are so many shops, restaurants, lounges and clubs at this venue. Really nice. We got to the hotel and met up with Vivian. Gayoung, Xiao Ting, Myhanh, Supadra and I were going to stay with her in the presidential suite. SWEEETTTTT! We had dinner at the poolside then we called it an early night. I was beat from not sleeping and traveling... it should be a fun day tomorrow since we are going to a Safari! Fun Fun Fun!!!

I love one day tourneys especially if its in the same city where you live! I travel enough for all the WPBA events. Anyway, it was pretty crazy at Skyline. Lots of people there. About 40 people played but there were a lot of people on the side lines. I got a bye and played Joey Land (I think). He seemed really nice and I was playing pretty well but somewhere in the middle of the match I lost my focus. I think it was because he kept taking a break before he shot and that threw me off a bit. I somehow bared down and won the match... I had to play Joey Kong the next match. He is such a great shot maker. Runs out from everywhere. I tried to keep it close but he safe me by accident after missing 2 shots in 2 different racks! Its sooooo not fair when a great player gets lucky too!!! LOL. Well what can you do? Everyone has good and bad rolls. Its all part of the game. I finally lost I think 7-5 but at least I put up a fight. Next in liken is Victor Nau. I love Victor. He is such a nice guy! He wasn’t playing very good during our match. I had many of those before. Then I played Lionel Rivera. I have played him a couple of times and he is also a good player. He gave me some chances to keep the match close. When it went hill hill he missed a 6 ball and I ran out a tricky rack. Was praying that my nerves didn’t get the best of me. My next match was with Mike Fingers. He plays great. Sitting in my seat I thought that I was going to get slaughtered. But he didn’t know I liked kicking and 3 of his safeties, I kicked in and ran out. I think he was a bit surprised. We also went hill hill when I came up dry on the break. He was running out a pretty tricky rack then suddenly he cut the 5 ball way too thin and missed it entirely. That was game since I had a pretty easy 4 ball run. Right away, I played Adam and I play terrible. I guess it has been a long day and I was tired, I was not able to execute very well. He took advantage of every mistake. Oh well, that was the end of my run. I came in 7th place which wasn’t too bad. Now I have to go home and pack for Hollywood, Florida.

This time I am bringing Xiao Ting back with me for a few weeks. She decided to hang out a bit before her Challenge of the Champions event at Mohegan Sun. So that means we will be pretty busy sight seeing, shopping, eating, playing pool and so on.... I love it when friends visit. It’s so nice to have company. It should be lots of fun... :)
